From a Christmas parade to brunch with Santa Claus, there are several local events happening this weekend in Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village.


Saturday
Santa Paws Village
The annual adoption event gives animal lovers a chance to donate to the animal shelter or become a sponsor. The event also features half-priced adoptions, an elf scavenger hunt, pet photos with Santa, crafts and more.

Music City Mall at Vista Ridge holds open auditions 
The mall is looking for talent from musicians to entertainers to poets and artists as well as other nontraditional forms of entertainment. Flower Mound Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
The town’s 28th annual Christmas Parade’s theme is “Christmas Around the World.” The lighted floats travel down Spinks Road to Gerault Park in Flower Mound. At Gerault Park there is a tree-lighting ceremony with choir performances, pictures with Santa Claus, carriage rides, children’s activities, a petting zoo, vendors and food trucks. 6-9 p.m. Free.
