Halloween-themed events about in Grapevine/Colleyville/Southlake this weekend.

Halloween-themed events abound this weekend as the North Texas area readies for Halloween on Tuesday. Here are some of the events happening locally.



FRIDAY

1. Witches Brew Train invites all aboard
The Grapevine Vintage Railroad will have an adults-only train ride in 1920s-era Victorian coaches along the Cotton Belt Route. The train ride will include a speciality craft brew, entertainment, dinner and more. All passengers must be 21 or older and costumes are encouraged.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY

2. The Grapeyard to host haunted carnival
Grapevine Parks and Recreation will host a haunted carnival-themed event in time for Halloween. The event will feature carnival-themed games and food, wagon rides, glow in the dark archery, laser tag, bounce houses and a 13 and up haunted trail.

Admission is $2 per person for Grapevine residents and $5 for non-residents. 6-11 p.m. Oak Grove Park, 1299 Oak Grove Loop North. 817-410-3450. www.gograpevine.com/grapeyard





3. Clean comedy hosted at Palace Theatre
Grapevine’s Historic Palace Theatre will host The Other “F” Words Comedy Tour, starring stand-up comedian William Lee Martin, for a night of clean humor. Guests can enjoy adult comedy without the adult language.

SATURDAY

4. Southlake to host Monster Mash
Children and families can enjoy pumpkin patches, costume parades, Halloween crafts and games and fall foods at Monster Mash. Live music will be performed by The Space Rockers.

SUNDAY

5. Grapevine's British Emporium to host seventh annual Doctor Who Day
This fan event will feature photo opportunities, costume contests, video screenings and more. Attendees can meet and mingle, pose with props, participate in trivia and dress as their favorite character. A TARDIS will land outside the Emporium. Live entertainment will be porved by an old-time string band.

Southlake's upcoming municipal service center to house several city departments

Once the city of Southlake breaks ground on this this project, it should take around two years to complete the new municipal service center.
