Oil Painting Explorations Workshop (Part 1)

Oil Painting Explorations Workshop (Part 1)

This workshop focuses on the practice of oil painting. Students learn about the material properties of oil paint. The group will see and emulate good painting practices through demonstration followed by student application. You will make paintings that allow you to play with paint application, color mixing, and value control. We will produce a small painting to take home during each of the 2 sessions. Canvas panels will be provided. Students will also be provided with a set of colors and brushes that they will be responsible for the care and use of. Nobody takes care of your things like you do!

Class meets January 5 and 12, 2020.
Class fee is $120 + $40 supply fee.
The class fee is paid during advanced registration, which closes January 2, midnight. The supply fee is paid at the start of class. No walk-ins. 3 students minimum for class to take place.
Held at the Downtowner Gallery, 231 E Main Street
