The fourth annual Harry Potter Film Festival will return to Austin Friday, Nov. 10 with exclusive showings at the Blue Starlite Graceland Oaks in Oak Hill.
In June, Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-in opened a pop-up at the Graceland Oaks Event Center. The location aims to offer easy access to movie fans in areas of the city far removed from the business' flagship location in Manchaca.
Josh Frank, owner of Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In, said he is so excited to present the fourth year of the Harry Potter Film Festival.
“We decided to exclusively hold this year’s festival at Graceland Oaks because it provides a more intimate location for Harry Potter fans, including a playground for young fans, more space to offer blanket seating for families to enjoy our movies under the night sky and in the patio space on-site,” Frank said. “It offers the perfect setting for pre-show themed entertainment, rounding out the experience.”
Pre-show entertainment will be inspired by Harry Potter films and will include movie trivia with prizes, mini-Quidditch games, photo stations, a Diagon Alley-inspired artists' market and more.
Along with screenings of all eight Harry Potter films, the festival will also include screenings of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Harry Potter themed candies, snacks, and Butter Beer will be available during screenings. Guests are also invited to visit the on-site Stubb’s BBQ, which features a full bar, coffee shop and mini-market, Frank said.
The festival will run from Nov. 10-Dec. 12. Movie tickets range from $10-$45 and are available at
www.bluestarlitedrivein.com. Movies air at 7:15 p.m., with the exception of Dec. 9, when the film will start at 6 p.m.
