After four consecutive days of reporting over 100 new cases of the coronavirus in Travis County, Austin Public Health has reported only 76 on June 12.

The new cases bring the total in Travis County since mid-March to 4,314. Of those, 617 have been confirmed over the past five days.

Active coronavirus hospitalizations in the Austin metropolitan area have reached 134, the highest point since the pandemic began.

Travis County is currently in stage 3 according to COVID-19 risk-based guidelines created by local health officials. The county has been in stage 3 since March 27, but has in recent weeks has began approaching Stage 4, with local facilities admitting an average of 17.1 new individuals per day over the past week. If the county were to reach 20 hospitalizations per day, it would enter stage 4 and new restrictions or guidelines could be put in place locally.

There have also been 104 coronavirus-related deaths in the county, while an estimated 3,380 individuals have recovered.
