The Hays County Food Bank announced a new weekly drive-thru food distribution site at the San Marcos High School Rattler stadium, 2601 Rattler Road, San Marcos, beginning March 25 from 10-10:45 a.m.

That is in addition to the other weekly drive-thru distributions the food bank provides Mondays at the San Marcos Public Library, 625 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, from 5-5:45 p.m.; Tuesdays at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 801 N. Burleson St., Kyle, from noon-12:45 p.m.; Thursdays at Buda City Park, 204 San Antonio St., Buda, from noon-12:45 p.m.; and the first Wednesday of every month at Cypress Creek Church, 211 Stillwater St., Wimberley, from 5-5:45 p.m.

Hays County Food Bank requires that a household earn an income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level; participate or qualify for Medicaid, SNAP or Social Security; or have a temporary food emergency from loss of income or a disaster.

The Hays County Food Bank asks that clients clean out their trunks or truck beds so that volunteers can quickly load groceries into their vehicles.
