All Hays County government offices, other than critical operational staff, will be closed on Wednesday, Feb. 1, due to "worsening weather conditions," according to a press release from Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra's office.

According to the National Weather Service, Hays County is in a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Thursday. Any nonemergency travel is discouraged, and numerous power outages are possible.

San Marcos offices are closed until Feb. 2, and Buda offices will be closed until Thursday, Feb. 3.

Kyle offices and facilities like Kyle City Hall, the Kyle Public Library and the utility billing office will remain closed until Friday, Feb. 4. However, city services will still be available via phone at 512-262-1010.
