Updated 4:23 p.m.: Jonah Water Special Utility District announced the boil water notice advisory has been lifted for its customers in the Brushy Creek Estates subdivision, including residents on Coyote Trail and CR 135.

Original post: Hutto residents on the city's water service line can resume normal water consumption and use habits after city officials lifted a boil water advisory Tuesday morning.

According to a news release issued Tuesday, the city's main water line has been repaired, flushed and tested with results showing that the water meets the state's drinking water standards. City of Hutto water customers may now use water for all purposes, including drinking, bathing, washing dishes, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food.

Hutto officials issued a boil water notice and water restriction on Sept. 23 following flooding that damaged the city’s main water supply line.

Jonah Water Special Utility District similarly issued a a boil water notice advisory for residents in the Brushy Creek Estates subdivision, including residents on Coyote Trail and CR 135. Jonah Water SUD officials stated the water system issued the boiled water advisory as a precautionary measure following the city of Hutto’s similar boil water notice on Sunday. That boil water advisory is still in effect at this time.

There was no confirmed contamination of the city's water system throughout the time of the water restriction and boil water advisory according to this morning's press release. Hutto Public Works officials are still suggesting residents run their faucets for one minute prior to use.
