1. Hutto's Economic Development Corporation Type B will hold its first meeting since voters approved funding the organization with sales-tax moneys. The EDC will consider a range of topics Monday night, including the development corporation's strategy moving forward and possible action on the forensic audit ordered on Hutto's former Type A EDC.

2. Hutto City Council will hold the first hearing and possibly vote on a zoning change for the Gin at the Co-Op District property. The city broke ground on the development project, which will house the new Hutto City Hall, last week.

3. Round Rock ISD board of trustees plans to name a candidate for the vacant Place 6 trustee position at the district's upcoming Thursday meeting. The position has been vacant since August when special appointee Stuart Selvaggi resigned after roughly two weeks in office. Prior to that, the position had been vacant since the end of May, when trustee Paul Tisch resigned to move to College Station. Last Thursday, RRISD held interviews with four candidates. The district announced it would wait a week to make a final appointment so it could collect feedback from the public on the four candidates.

4. The filing period has ended for the open seat on Round Rock City Council and three candidates have decided to run for the seat. Hollis Bone, Hilda Montgomery and John Montgomery have indicated interest in Kris Whitfield's former office. On Monday night, the three will participate in a candidate forum at Round Rock Public Library, starting at 7 p.m.

5. After the statewide election last week, returns are in. Two new candidates and one incumbent was elected to Pflugerville City Council. The Travis County bond passed with 73 percent of the vote. Texans across the state approved all seven proposed constitutional amendments.

6. The city of Round Rock will be home to a $200 million master-planned residential and commercial development called The District. City council approved a memorandum of understanding last Thursday to bring the development to land at I-35 and SH 45.
