Pflugerville will soon have its first hospital, and it will be built by Baylor Scott & White.

The hospital will be located at 2600 E. Pflugerville Parkway, on a 148.88-acre rezoned tract of land at the northeast corner of Pflugerville Parkway and SH 130, behind the Falcon Pointe neighborhood. Pflugerville City Council approved the zoning for the project at an Oct. 25 meeting.

Preliminary development plans were submitted to the city of Pflugerville planning office in December by Baylor Scott & White representatives.

A 55-page proposed site plan was obtained by Community Impact Newspaper from the city through a Freedom of Information Act request, which show Baylor Scott & White as the developer of the hospital.

Community Impact Newspaper first reported in August a hospital was planned for Pflugerville. In October, City Manager Brandon Wade confirmed the city was in negotiations with an unnamed hospital group.

Officials from the city of Pflugerville and Baylor Scott & White declined comment Tuesday.
