Pflugerville ISD college and career counselors are hosting college preparation sessions online to help district students access resources while district campuses and facilities remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Beginning April 13, PfISD students may take part in virtual tours of college guided by representatives by the school, according to an April 10 news release from the school district.

Currently, more than two dozen tours are scheduled for universities across the U.S. through May 11. Admission representatives from those schools will provide information on admission, financial aid and scholarships, housing and other institutional information during these tours, the district said in its April 10 news release.

Students may sign up for virtual tours on a new website set up by PfISD. The new website congregates college selection and preparation resources for PfISD students.

On April 16, Nicholas Howell, Pflugerville High School college and career adviser, will host a presentation on online college applications. The online seminar is open to all PfISD students and families. Attendees are asked to register online beforehand.

PfISD is additionally scheduled to host an online presentation on financial aid application April 22, the district said. The presentation, which will be hosted by Weiss High School counselor Adam Navarro-Jusino, is also open to all PfISD students and families. Attendees are required to sign up beforehand through a form that can be found on the new website built by PfISD.
