In November, voters in two of Northwest Austin’s school districts passed bond proposals. Pflugerville ISD voters approved a $332 million bond, and Round Rock ISD voters approved a $508 million bond.

PfISD purchased a $14.8 million fleet of buses and will begin construction on a new elementary school in July and a new middle school, both east of SH 130, in December. RRISD is in the planning and design stage for Phase 2A of McNeil High School’s master plan, which includes renovations and a new science wing, and for phases 4A and 4B of Westwood High School’s master plan, which includes an addition of 26 classrooms. Construction will begin in 2020 at McNeil High School and 2021 at Westwood High School.
