The project will build an interchange consisting of a grade separation at both Slaughter Lane and La Crosse Avenue. Following an environmental study, it was decided a diverging diamond intersection would be added at Slaughter, and a traditional diamond intersection would be added at La Crosse. An underpass will also be constructed allowing MoPac to go under Slaughter and La Crosse. In August the construction contract was awarded to Webber LLC.

Timeline: construction will begin in early 2018, expected to be complete in mid- to late 2020
Cost: $536 million
Funding source: TxDOT
