The Round Rock Transportation Department hosted the first of two public meetings Wednesday evening at the Round Rock High School student center, where they presented plans to the public and received feedback on
proposed bus routes to begin running in Round Rock this summer.
The proposed routes are part of the city's
Transportation Master Plan, which is designed to increase mobility in the city and provide alternative transportation options for Round Rock residents.
"The first public meeting went well, with the attendees in favor of public transit," said Caren Lee, transportation coordinator for the city of Round Rock, via email.
A second public meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 23 at the Stony Point High School lecture hall. Residents may also review proposed routes and submit feedback at the transportation department's
website.
