After closing in March for a complete rebuild, the Chick-fil-A at Braker Lane and Research Boulevard reopens Aug. 12.

The new store is twice its previous size and includes a three-lane drive-thru. The building also has improved energy efficiency and water conservation features. The location, at 10901 Research Blvd., first opened 15 years ago.

Franchise owner Jeff Glover continued paying all of the 50 employees during the five-month closure to retain their expertise. He is also hiring 20 new employees to account for the larger store footprint.
