Northbound lanes on Shoal Creek Boulevard between FM 2222 and White Rock Drive will close July 18 for construction that will last until the end of August.

Drivers and bicyclists using traveling north on Shoal Creek Boulevard will be mostly detoured to Burnet Road during construction activity. Lanes will reopen after three weeks with intermittent closures likely to occur until the end of August to allow for new pavement to be installed.

Surrounding residents will still have access to their neighborhoods, according to a city news release.

The Austin Water construction project involves repairing 4,700 feet of a 48-inch wastewater pipe, which runs below Shoal Creek Boulevard from Hancock Drive to just north of Allandale Road, according to a news release. The project will take about three weeks with no disruptions to water and wastewater services.
