As of February, the city of Austin's roadwork on Davis and Deer lanes is complete after more than a year of construction and delays. The project team is still conducting walkthroughs of the project near Brodie Lane and will alert the contractor about any necessary minor repairs, said Susan Garnett, city of Austin public information specialist. But road construction officially wrapped up Jan. 30. The final portion of the project involved installing a storm drain, she said. Garnett said the remaining work will not interfere with traffic in the area. Since August 2013 the city has been improving the road. The project included adding a new section of Davis Lane from Corran Ferry Drive to Brodie Lane, and realigning Davis and Brodie lanes to ease traffic congestion in the area.
