The Domain is scheduled to host the seventh annual Taste North Austin event June 21, featuring food and drink samples from 23 restaurants in the North Austin area.

The annual event spotlights restaurants at The Domain and others nearby, such as Blackfinn Ameripub, Abel's North, Nothing Bundt Cake, Daily Grill, Blue Baker and Sushi Zushi. This year's foodie lineup of participants also includes Punch Bowl Social, a gastro-diner, bar and entertainment venue expected to open at The Domain in August.

Lauren Krumlauf, area director of marketing and business development at The Domain, said the event was originally started to familiarize Austinites with restaurants at The Domain. Throughout the years the event has expanded to include other North Austin restaurants as a yearly attraction to The Domain, Krumlauf said.

Wristbands for the event are $20, which includes 10 tastings. Attendees may also purchase VIP tickets for $30, which includes 10 tastings, a goody bag, complimentary drinks and access to the VIP lounge.

In addition to food and drink tastings, Taste North Austin includes live music by Skyrocket!, caricature drawings and children's activities such as face painting and balloon animal making. Taste North Austin is hosted from 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Beer and wine are available for purchase at select booths.
