During their Oct. 7 special meeting, Bee Cave City Council members considered a report from Pro Forma Architecture, Inc. outlining a proposed schedule for the remodel of the library and City Hall.

Jeff D. Bulla III, principal of the Dallas-based architecture firm leading the project, was joined by Maureen Arndt of 720 Design to deliver the schedule that includes six phases of research and analysis culminating in a final design presentation in April.

The project will provide a master plan for the City Hall with an emphasis on evaluating the current library's efficiency and flexibility, projecting future library space needs, and recommending City Hall design changes to meet the library and other city department needs, he said.

Bulla said community feedback for the build would include a Nov. 7–8 session designed to elicit responses from focus groups including departmental staffers, children, teens, parents, adults, advisory groups, business leaders and Hill Country Galleria owners and tenants. A survey questionnaire will be emailed to residents as well, he said.

Analysis of the feedback from the focus groups and surveys would be completed by the end of November with a rough draft of the program available by Dec. 15, he said. The partners plan to prepare the project's conceptual design by February with a final document produced by March, he said.
