Williamson County's Elections Department and Vote Center Committee will host an open house at the Historic Courthouse Thursday, June 27, from 4–8 p.m. to get resident feedback on vote centers.

Vote centers allow registered Williamson County voters to cast their ballot at any vote center location in the county on Election Day rather than at a specific precinct location. The centers were used for the first time during the May 11 election, and Williamson County is now seeking feedback and ideas for potential vote center locations for future elections, a news release stated.

Interim elections administrator Kay Eastes said maps of vote center locations for the November election will be available at the open house.

"We had good feedback from exit polls from those who participated," Eastes said, referring to the May 11 election. "We just want to make [voters] aware and informed about vote centers, what they mean and where they are. [The open house is] to get input from the public."

Vote centers are similar to the early voting process in that they allow voters to vote at any polling location with all-electronic voting. Approximately 65 percent of the current voters in Williamson County participate in early voting, according to a release.

The open house will take place at the Historic Courthouse, 710 S. Main St.
