Election results in the 2022 November midterms have been trickling in, and the winners in the races for Texas Senate districts 21 and 25 have been determined by voters throughout the region.

With the Texas Secretary of State's office reporting results from all polling locations, Democratic incumbent Judith Zaffirini has secured her position in Texas Senate District 21 with 61.53% of the vote.

“I am delighted to continue to represent the families of Senate District 21 in the Texas Senate,” Zaffirini said. “My staff and I embrace our mantra, 'Serviam!' (I shall serve)—a lesson learned from the Ursuline nuns. No issue is too big or too small for us. If it’s important to our constituents, it’s important to us, and we strive to represent everyone, including those who didn’t vote for me.”

Opponent and Republican candidate Julie Dahlberg received 35.96% of the vote, with Libertarian candidate Arthur Dibianca ending the race at 2.51%.

"I was very pleased to be able to represent Libertarian voters in this election," Dibianca said. "Libertarian candidates did very well in a number of races throughout Texas, and I hope this will help us build toward stronger Libertarian support in the future."

In the race to represent District 25, Republican incumbent Donna Campbell won the race with 62.87% of the vote.

“The voters of District 25 have delivered a strong message with their votes today," Campbell said. "They want elected leaders who share their conservative principles, who will support a closed border, and public schools that focus on teaching reading, writing and arithmetic—not on [critical race theory] and gender confusion. We want lower taxes, less regulation, and a strong and vibrant oil and gas industry. I will continue to stand strong with Texans to keep Texas strong, because we don’t have another Texas to move to.”

Campbell's opponent in the election, Democratic candidate Robert Walsh, ended the race with 37.13% of the ballots casted in his favor.

“I concede," Walsh said. "Donna Campbell successfully picked her voters during redistricting. Texans deserve representatives who will cut their costs and protect their environment, and it's disappointing my would-be constituents will still be waiting.”
