Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the forum will run from 7-8:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Libertarian Party of Comal County, the event will be more of an open-ended discussion or forum rather than a debate, said Bob King, the forum host and moderator as well as the treasurer for the Libertarian Party of Comal County.
“I'm going to ask questions about the role of city government in private development. I'm going to ask a question about what tax rates should be in an environment in which appraisals are going through the roof,” King said.
Policing and police staffing, growth and city services are other topics on the agenda, King said.
Candidates for City Council District 1 Andres Campos-Delgado, Suzanne Lynn and Jimmy Vallejo Delgado will be in attendance. For more information on the candidates, read their Q&A responses to Community Impact Newspaper here.
Early voting will run from April 25 through May 3, and election day is May 7.
