Will all precincts in Comal and Guadalupe Counties reporting, voters approved New Braunfels ISD Bond Propositions A and C while Proposition B failed to receive voter approval.

Propositions A and C will provide a combined total of $327.9 million in projects to address growth, aging facilities, athletic upgrades and technology.

Proposition A received 61.24% of 5,232 votes in favor, 54.05% of 5,210 votes cast were in opposition to Proposition B and Proposition C received 58.66% of 5,218 votes in favor.

“This was a comprehensive bond that will positively impact every student. The projects that are being funded include schools and facilities that will be utilized by generations to come,” said Dr. Cade Smith, NBISD superintendent of schools in a press release. “We are very grateful to the community members that put this bond together and for those that came out to participate in the voting process.”


Proposition B would have provided $20.1 million in funding for a varsity competition stadium at the future Long Creek High School and upgrades to the existing New Braunfels High School press box.

With all precincts in Guadalupe County and 45 of 84 precincts reporting in Comal County, voter approval for New Braunfels ISD Bond Propositions A and C remains strong while more ballots against Proposition B have been cast.

New Braunfels ISD Bond Proposition A currently has 61.24% of 5,232 votes in favor while Proposition C has 58.66% of 5,218 votes in favor.


Proposition B has received 5,210 votes, 54.05% of which are in opposition.

New Braunfels ISD Bond Proposition A currently has 62.24% of 4,626 votes while Proposition C has 59.93% of 4,612 votes.

Proposition B has received 4,606 votes, 53.28% of which are in opposition.

With first results from election-day voters now counted, voter approval for New Braunfels ISD Bond Propositions A and C remains strong while more ballots against Proposition B have been cast.

Proposition A has 63.24% of 3,629 votes in favor, Proposition B has 52.45% of 3,611 votes against and Proposition C has 60.75% of 3,618 votes in favor.

Current vote totals include polling locations in Comal and Guadalupe Counties.

The first return of early voting totals from Guadalupe County show residents in favor of New Braunfels ISD Bond Propositions A and C but opposed to Proposition B. In Comal County, early voting totals show voters approving all three propositions.

Out of 676 early votes cast in Guadalupe County for Proposition A, which would provide $321.3 million in funding for the construction of new schools and buses, 54.44% voted in favor.

In the county, a total of 675 early ballots were cast for Proposition B, which would provide $20.1 million in funding for the construction and expansion of stadium facilities, with 61.33% of votes against the proposition.


Proposition C, which would provide $6.6 million in funding for technology improvements, received 676 early votes in Guadalupe County with 52.66% in favor.

In Comal County, 68.08% of 1,933 early votes cast for Proposition A were in favor of the proposition, while 51.95% of 1,921 early votes cast for Proposition B were in favor. A total of 1,925 early votes were cast for Proposition C, 65.4% of which were in favor.
