Comal County has declared incumbent candidate Dib Waldrip as the winner of the 433rd District Judge seat. Waldrip's 14,309 votes accounted for 71.7% of votes and Charlie Sullivan earned 5,647 votes, or 28.3% of all ballots.
Results are unofficial until canvased.
Update: 9:35 p.m. CST
With 16 of 27 polling locations reporting partial results, Dib Waldrip leads with 72.15% of ballots and 11,710 ballots in his favor.
Charlie Sullivan is trailing with 27.85% of results and 4,521 votes.
The first return of early voting totals from Comal County show Dib Waldrip has taken the lead for District Judge for the 433rd Judicial District.
Waldrip leads Charlie Sullivan with a 8,349 votes, or 73.03% share of all early votes. Sullivan has a 26.97% share or 3,083 votes.
This primary cycle sees incumbent Waldrip defending his seat.
Totals from ballots cast on March 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m. though voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots. Community Impact Newspaper will update this article as more Primary Election Day vote totals come in.
