Whether seeking an event for Mother's Day or just wanting to get outdoors, there are a number of events going on this weekend in Cedar Park and Leander that are open to the whole family.

May 12: LHS and RBMS bands play at jazz program. Students from Leander and Cedar Park’s school bands perform at their fourth annual Jazz Under the Stars event. Dinner will be provided and attendees should bring blankets or chairs for seating. Proceeds go to the jazz programs at Leander High School and Running Brushy Middle School. May 14: Moms get discounted admission to the museum. May 13: Arboretum hosts book-themed family event. BookSpring into Summer: A Celebration of Readers features games, book-themed crafts and a performance by the Biscuit Brothers. Attendees will receive a free food or activity ticket if they donate three children’s books. Tickets will also be available for purchase. All proceeds go to Central Texas literacy programs.
