Cedar Park Regional Medical Center CEO Brad Holland was recognized April 20 by the Texas Hospital Association board of trustees as a "Grassroots Champion."
“Whether he’s meeting with state leadership or his local lawmakers, Brad always makes time to help elected officials understand important hospital issues, even those that are difficult and divisive in nature,” said Ted Shaw, president/CEO of the Texas Hospital Association. “Brad knows the value in fundraising, cultivating relationships with lawmakers and making smart policy decisions. Those attributes make him an ideal hospital advocate and grassroots champion.”
THA selected Holland for his commitment to leadership and excellence in the Texas hospital industry. Holland serves as vice chair of THA’s Council on Policy Development and as a member of THA’s board of trustees and HOSPAC’s board of directors.
The American Hospital Association “Grassroots Champion Award” recognizes hospital leaders who most effectively educate elected officials on the impact of major issues on a hospital’s critical role in the community, who have worked to expand the base of community support for the hospital and who are advocates for hospitals and their patients. This award is presented annually to one individual from each state with leaders being chosen by the state association.
Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, a Joint Commission accredited facility, is a nearly 100-bed facility which employs more than 500 health care professionals.
