1. Portions of Brushy Creek Regional Trail closed until June 30

The section of Brushy Creek Regional Trail between Brushy Creek Sports Park and the 183A Trailhead will be closed from June 5 to June 30, according to a press release from Williamson County. The closure is due to upgrades to the MetroRail Red Line on the railroad bridge between Lakeline and Leander Stations.

2. Cedar Park Public Library kicks off summer reading program June 5, 6

Cedar Park Public Library’s Summer Reading Club will run from June 5 to July 28, the library’s Youth Services Manager Kit Coates said. To launch the program, there will be a Scholastic Book Fair from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 550 Discovery Blvd., Cedar Park. 512-401-5600. www.cedarparktexas.gov

3. Leander Chamber hosts networking event June 8

4. Cedar Park City Council meets June 8

5. Leander Planning and Zoning Commission discusses subdivision cases June 8

According to the meeting agenda, the Leander Planning and Zoning Commission will discuss and consider action on four subdivision cases.
