Stacy Grant opened Crescent House Furniture & Accessories in 2013 because he saw a need for unique furniture in the area and wanted to create an enjoyable shopping experience for customers, he said.

Grant, who has 30 years of experience in the furniture industry, said he wants to provide his customers not only with standard furniture for every room of their house, but also distinctive and refurbished items, art work, and other accessories.

The 16,000 square-foot showroom displays items including sofas, beds, tables, chairs, cabinets and repurposed furniture, all of which customers can purchase off of the floor or decide to customize by redesigning the piece. Crescent House also offers lamps, vases, vintage furniture, paintings and other artwork and decor.

In the back of the store, the shop houses a 3,000-square-foot warehouse for more rare and distinctive pieces, Grant said, such as antique cabinets, a wood-working bench from Scandinavia from the late 1800s, wine crates and vintage doors.

Customers Dean Sullivan and his husband, Woody Hill, discussed design ideas with in-house designer Casandra Garcia the first time they came into the store. Sullivan and Hill bought a bed, a mattress and accessories, he said, and Crescent House designers helped the couple design seating for their home.

“Crescent House has plenty of unique furniture, art and such, but what has separated them from any other place we’ve shopped is their commitment to our happiness,” Sullivan said. “We walk in there and are greeted more as friends than customers. I find myself wanting to stop by because I haven’t seen them in a couple of weeks.”

Customers Marcia and Mark Smith from Round Rock have shopped at the store several times to buy furniture, lamps, decorative pieces and artwork, Marcia said.

“They have a lot of unique pieces and many of them have a history,” Marcia said. “And they are really great [with] customer service. They treat you like family when you come in.”
