Lakeway residents approved Proposition 1 by only 8 votes

Lakeway’s Proposition 1—a $23 million bond to fund a new city police station—was approved by residents with a vote of 1,062 to 1,054.

Both of Lakeway’s City Council incumbents won re-election, with Bridge Bertram as the frontrunner followed by Ron Massa.

Beth South won a seat on the West Lake Hills City Council

With all votes counted in the West Lake Hills City Council election, Beth South has defeated Ambrose Krumpe in the Place 3 race, while incumbents Rhonda McCollough and Jim O’Connor won uncontested races in Place 1 and Place 5 respectively.

Bee Cave City Council incumbents swept Saturday’s election

With all votes counted, Bee Cave City Council incumbents Kara King, Marie Lowman and Monty Parker will retain their seats on the dais for another term.

Eanes ISD board of trustees will hold a study session tonight

With current Mayor Pro Tem Stan Graham retiring from the council this month, City Council will select a new mayor pro tem at its Wednesday meeting, according to the meeting agenda.

City Council will convene at 7:05 p.m. at the West Lake Hills Municipal Building, 911 Westlake Drive, West Lake Hills.

The Parade of Homes is featuring The Peninsula at Rough Hollow this spring

Beginning Friday, Home Builders Association of Greater Austin will feature Lakeway neighborhood The Peninsula at Rough Hollow in the annual Parade of Homes, which showcases innovation in home design. The event features five $1 million custom homes along Lake Travis built by five different homebuilders. Tickets can be purchased online for $15 and showcases run Thursdays through Sundays each week, with the event concluding on Memorial Day, May 29.

Lakeway will hold a blood drive this weekend

There will be a blood drive at Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon. Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are encouraged and can be made throughout the week online at www.inyourhands.org.
