Town hall meeting about Lakeway’s bond election is scheduled for tonight

From 6:30-8:30 p.m., Lakeway hosts a town hall meeting with a presentation on the proposed bond for the Lakeway police facility project at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway.  The bond election will take place May 6.

Lakeway Lakers swim team registration opens today

Registration for the Lakeway Lakers summer swim team opens today for returning members, and April 3 for new members. Registration is conducted online at www.lakewaylakers.org and stays open until all spots are filled.

Swim team practices start on May 1, and the team competes in seven swim meets over the summer.

March's Eanes ISD school board meeting has been rescheduled to April 4

The Eanes ISD board of trustees was scheduled to meet Tuesday, but due to a posting error, the meeting was rescheduled for April 4.

The April 4 public meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the S. Don Rogers Administration Building, 601 Camp Craft Road, Austin.

Bee Cave's Tuesday city council meeting has been canceled

The city of Bee Cave's regularly scheduled council meeting on Tuesday has been cancelled.

Special Needs Forum hosts free event Thursday

The Special Needs Forum sponsors “Savings: How much do I need? What are the best tools? Is a 529-ABLE account a good option” on Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the New York Life building, 6200 Bridgepoint Parkway, Building IV, Austin. The free event covers how much savings and social security a child with special needs requires to support him or her for a lifetime.

Tickets for Lakeway Sing Along’s presentation of  “It’s A Musical” go on sale Thursday

With performances April 27-29, tickets for Lakeway Sing Along’s 17th annual spring show go on sale March 30 at 1 p.m. for Lakeway Activity Center members, and April 6 for the general public. Tickets to the dinner show are $30 and can be purchased in person at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, Lakeway, or over the phone by calling 512-261-1010.

Spicewood and Highland Lakes Lions Club’s charity golf tournament and 100th anniversary takes place Friday

Since 2015, the club’s charity golf tournament and party have been its largest annual fundraiser. This year’s outing will take place Friday at the Lakecliff Country Club, 1700 Kahala Sunset Drive, Spicewood.

Following the golf tournament, Stone House Vineyard, 24350 Haynie Flat Road, Spicewood, hosts a party from 5:30-8:30 p.m. It’s All Good BBQ will cater the event that will include music, drinks, door prizes and a silent auction.
