Rollingwood to discus MoPac South project at workshop on Monday

Rollingwood City Council will receive an update and review current information regarding the MoPac South construction project at a special meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 403 Nixon Drive, Rollingwood.

Lakeway art exhibits by Judd Olson and Johnnie Fields on display until Feb. 6

Two of the city of Lakeway’s latest art exhibits run until Feb. 6, making this week the last opportunity to see the works.

Johnnie Fields’ art is on display at the Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd., Lakeway, weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The works of Austin artist Judd Olson will remain on display at the Wall Street Gallery in Prosperity Bank, 1415 S. RR 620, Lakeway. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Baylor Scott & White ribbon cutting in Lakeway on Tuesday

A ribbon-cutting event celebrating the hospital’s official transition from Lakeway Regional Medical Center to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lakeway is set for Tuesday, from noon-1 p.m. The hospital is located at 100 Medical Parkway, Lakeway.

Lost Creek Civic Organization to discuss crime and safety Thursday

At its February meeting, the Lost Creek Civic Organization will discuss crime and neighborhood safety with Austin Police Department Officer Stephen Woytkewicz.

Lost Creek Civic Organization meets at the Lost Creek Limited District building, 1305 Quaker Ridge, Austin, at 7 p.m.

Hazard Mitigation Action Plan survey now available for Travis County residents

H2O Partners was hired by Travis County to conduct a Hazard Mitigation Action Plan update and solicit feedback from residents via a survey, meeting input and social media as to their experiences with the types of catastrophic events for which mitigation projects can be funded. The group will use this information on the local level, to prioritize the needs of individual communities.

Residents can take this online survey—no ending date at this time—in English or Spanish.

Filing for local elections open until Feb. 17

Filing for local spring elections began Jan. 18, and those interested in running for office have until 5 p.m. on Feb. 17. to file for candidacy.

Rollingwood park master plan survey now online

The Rollingwood Park Commission is looking for resident feedback in order to update its park master plan, and posted an online survey to the city’s website. The survey will be available through Friday.

Rollingwood Lower Park is now open

After a little under three months of renovations, the playground at Lower Rollingwood Park reopened Jan. 27. The park closed Nov. 9 for safety repairs to the playground’s rock wall and nearby pavilion.
