Starting Monday, April 16, the Texas Department of Transportation will close Westlake Drive from Bee Caves Road to Westspring Road to through traffic at night in order to install a water line that is part of the Bee Caves Road Improvement Project, according to an email sent by West Lake Hills City Administrator Robert Wood.

Detours will be set up from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night and are expected to last the next two or three nights.

Through traffic that would normally use that section of Westlake Drive will be detoured for the safety of motorists and workers, according to the notice.

Drivers wishing to access Bee Caves Road from Westlake Drive will be required to turn right onto Westspring Road and then left onto Westhaven Drive, giving them access to eastbound or westbound Bee Caves Road, the email said. Drivers wishing to access Westlake Drive from Bee Caves Road will be required to turn onto Westhaven Road and then turn right onto Westspring Road, giving them access to Westlake Drive.
