Susan Fambrough was selected as principal of Cedar Creek Elementary on Tuesday.

The announcement by Eanes ISD Superintendent Tom Leonard followed a selection process involving nearly 50 students, staff and parents, as well as an online survey to Cedar Creek parents and guardians.

Fambrough most recently served as testing, textbook and student success coordinator for Quanah ISD, just south of the Texas-Oklahoma border. She served two years as principal of Reagan Elementary School in QISD. Fambrough also served as principal of Steiner Elementary School in Leander ISD for five years, plus eight years serving in the role of principal and assistant principal positions in Breckenridge ISD, Seymour ISD and Pflugerville ISD.

Along with her administrative experience, Fambrough has three years of teaching experience at the middle school level. She received a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction with a minor in administration from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in education from the University of Southern Maine.

Fambrough replaces Jessica Brown, who is relocating with her family out of state.
