The 3,737-square-foot center opened July 18 at 12532 Bee Caves Road, Bee Cave, and the Sept. 8 ribbon cutting included presentations of $2,000 donations each to the Lakeway Police Foundation and the Bee Cave Benevolent Foundation by Tim Allen, vice president of private banking at Frost Bank. The groups offer assistance to police staff in need including helping with family emergency situations. "The funds you are giving us today will go right back into [law enforcement officers'] hands," said Amber Hart, president of the Lakeway Police Foundation board of directors. Frost began in 1868, about two years before the city of Bee Cave was founded, Allen said. The company was drawn to the area due to its "incredible growth," he said. "[Lake Travis] has been a place we have been trying to get to for a long time," Allen said. "I think we have a great team put together and, no doubt, we will accomplish great things." The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce hosted the event.
