Hill Country Galleria’s monthly Wine Walk begins at Twin Liquors and stops at a variety of shops for wine tastings.

3. Residents can meet raptors in West Lake Hills

The Urban Interface of Bryan, Texas, brings raptor ambassadors to the West Lake Hills Wild Birds Unlimited. A presentation on the raptors is given at the store, which is celebrating its 23rd anniversary.

3. Superhero Fun Run benefits Make-A-Wish

The Omni Barton Creek holds a Superhero Fun Run 5K to raise money for Make-A-Wish Central and South Texas. Participants can wear superhero costumes during the walk and run. The event was rescheduled after its original date, Aug. 27, was rained out.

6. Volunteers clean up Lake Travis

At the Lake Travis Cleanup, scuba divers and other volunteers gather trash from the bottom of the lake and its shore.
