2. Eanes ISD board meets to discuss tax rate Monday

Eanes ISD’s board of trustees meets at 6 p.m. Monday at S. Don Rogers Administration Building, 601 Camp Craft Road. The board will have an opportunity lower the district’s overall tax rate from $1.2125 to $1.20 per $100 valuation for fiscal year 2017-18 at its meeting Monday afternoon, Superintendent Tom Leonard said. 3. Lakeway City Council holds special session Monday

Lakeway City Council meets for a special session at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway. The special session will address a proposed mixed-use development on 80 acres in City Center, according to the meeting agenda. 4. River Hills neighborhood named a Dark Sky Friendly Development of Distinction

The International Dark-Sky Association named River Hills, a small neighborhood in the Westlake area, a Dark Sky Friendly Development of Distinction on Tuesday. The distinction honors subdivisions and unincorporated neighborhoods that actively plan to reduce light pollution and promote the night sky, according to the International Dark-Sky Association’s website. 5. West Lake Hills City Council to discuss city budget, salaries Wednesday

West Lake Hills City Council meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the West Lake Hills Municipal Building, 911 Westlake Drive, West Lake Hills. According to the meeting agenda, the council will discuss the city budget, staff salaries and insurance costs.
