Bentwood Summer Slam BBQ Cook-Off
Texas Firewalkers hosts its barbecue cookoff event Friday and Saturday. This cookoff is luau-theme and offers cash prizes. Entry fee for the cookoff is $200, and categories include brisket, pork spare ribs, chicken, beans, kids pork chop, margarita and fajita. 'Behind the Texas Badge' Book Signing
Authors Doug and Carol Hutchison traveled almost 15,000 miles across Texas compiling the stories of Texas law enforcement officers and gathering images of squad cars, badges, shoulder patches and firearms. Officers of the Georgetown Police Department, along with the Round Rock Police Department, Pflugerville Police Department, Williamson County Sheriff's Office and Bastrop Sheriff's Office are featured in the book.
