Georgetown ISD board of trustees meeting 
Monday, April 17
The school board will meet for its monthly meeting on Monday night. Items on the agenda include a 2015 bond project update, action on appointing the Principal of Benold Middle School and Richarte High School, as well as action on approval or the agreement to purchase attendance credits.

Precinct 1 open house
Monday, April 17
Williamson County’s Precinct 1 offices are hosting a Family Open House on Monday. The event will feature indoor and outdoor exhibits, refreshments including hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs, as well as music by Round Rock Fire Department’s Mike Heard.

Williamson County Commissioner Terry Cook, Constable Vinnie Cherrone, Justice of the Peace Dain Johnson, and Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes will have information on what services their offices provide. In addition, there will be information or exhibits featuring:

  • Fire, EMS, HazMat and law enforcement vehicles

  • Sheriff’s Office Bearcat & Canine Unit

  • Voter registration

  • Child car seat safety information & demonstrations

  • CPR – Hands-on 10 minute sessions

  • Williamson County Master Gardeners

  • Williamson County & Cities Health District Information on health services, immunizations, WIC program, food safety, mosquito management traps display
    Texas A&M AgriLife Extension 4-H and Youth Development programs

Williamson County Commissioners Court 
Tuesday, April 18
The court will meet for its weekly Tuesday meeting. Items on the agenda include infrastructure updates, animal shelter donation approval and road bond updates.

Car seat instillation check event
Thursday, April 20
Williamson County Emergency Medical Services will be working in conjunction with St. David’s Round Rock Hospital and Baby Earth to conduct a car safety seat and booster event for area residents.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will assist families with car seat safety inspections, checking for expired seats and any recall information, along with educating families on recommended car seat use.  Child should be present during the fitting appointment.

The inspection event is offered at no cost to participants and is available by appointment only. Please call 512-600-7050 to schedule an appointment.

Understanding Parkinson's Continuing Education Unit Workshop
Thursday, April 20
The Delaney at Georgetown Village is hosting an informative presentation designed for healthcare professionals in the area. Deborah Bryson, Agency Administrator, Foundation Management Services, Inc. and board member with Capital Area Parkinson's Society will be the expert presenter.

One CEU credit will be offered to attendees.
