The holiday's are officially upon us, and there are several things Georgetown residents need to know:

Tree recycling
City of Georgetown residents can recycle Christmas trees, boxes and wrapping paper this year.

  • Trees can be placed on the curb during regularly scheduled yard trimming pick up days.

  • Cardboard boxes and wrapping paper are recyclable and can be placed in your recycling cart or in a box next to it. Bows and ribbons cannot be recycled.

  • Residents can drop off trees from Dec. 26-Jan. 31 at City of Georgetown Collection Station, 250 W.L. Walden Drive.
