Williams Drive Corridor Study Open House

The City of Georgetown and the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization are holding an open house for citizens to learn about the future of the corridor between Austin Avenue and Jim Hogg Road. The public meeting will introduce the study and its goals, which may include transit options, bike lanes and public parking, according to the city.

CPR and First Aid Classes
Oct. 15

Williamson County EMS is offering American Heart Association CPR and first aid classes to interested participants. The classes are open to everyone.

  • HeartSaver first aid Class (adult), 8 a.m.-noon, $30

  • HeartSaver CPR AED Class (adult/child/infant), 1-5 p.m., $35

Georgetown City Vendor Fair

The City of Georgetown Purchasing Department is hosting the fair for business owners to find out more about the city’s process of accepting bids, proposals and qualifications for doing business with the city.

Business owners in all different fields including graphic design, road construction, plumbing and landscaping are encouraged to attend.

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital new entrance

A ribbon-cutting event for the new driveway entrance of the hospital along I-35 has been postponed from Friday due to continued construction.

The new driveway and signs along I-35 will provide more visible access to the hospital for emergency vehicles, patients and employees, according to the hospital.

There has been no update on a new ribbon-cutting date at this time.
