Sweet Lemon Inn & Kitchen owner Rachel Cummins plans to open a cafe this spring.[/caption]

Construction is underway at Sweet Lemon Inn & Kitchen near the Square to add a counter-service cafe that would offer breakfast and lunch items, co-owner Rachel Cummins said.

The cafe is expected to open in the spring, and although the menu has not been finalized, she said it would incorporate seasonal ingredients and local produce. The cafe will have room for up to 45 guests with additional seating outside.

The inn will celebrate its second anniversary in March.

“We love being a part of the downtown community,” Cummins said. “It’s an exciting time in our history, and it’s humbling to be a part of that.”
