After eight years in business, Olivia on South Lamar Boulevard announced Wednesday it would be closing its doors and turning the restaurant into a new concept.

Chef and owner James Holmes focuses on farm-to-table dining and serves dishes such as steak frites, risotto and lamb loin.

“Olivia has been here to watch the neighborhood, and Austin, change over the years,” Holmes said in a news release. “What I’m most proud of is our loyal neighborhood customers and to have watched our cooks go on to do great things both in Austin and around the country.”

Holmes also runs Lucy's Fried Chicken, with locations on South Congress Avenue, Burnet Road and RR 620.

Olivia's last day will be Oct. 9.
