Maximum Taekwondo and Yoga will host its grand opening Sept. 27 at 6929 Airport Blvd., Ste. 146.
Owner Brad Perkins decided to open the business to promote his anti-bullying stance and to offer a place of healing for those dealing with life issues.
"I wanted a different feel than most studioes that intimidate the newcomer," Perkins said in a news release. "We're going to be focusing on helping cancer patients, teens, children, and veterans with PTSD through both yoga and taekwondo."
The studio will offer Taekwondo and yoga classes and have staff available to provide massages. Perkins has practiced Taekwondo for 23 years.
The grand-opening events take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 27 and will include introductions to the different classes the studio will offer along with games. 512-371-8989. maxtkdyoga.com
