This morning marked the first day of early voting in Travis County. This year's ballot includes local elections, as well as several bonds.

Here are a few things to know about the Travis County bond:

• The bond referendum amounts to $184.9 million and is split between two propositions
• Proposition A: A total of $93.4 million in bond funds is allocated toward countywide transportation improvements including roadway capacity improvements, bicycle safety projects and drainage stream crossings.
• Proposition B: A total of $91.5 million will be set aside for park improvements, including a sports complex in Bee Creek and improvements to the Northeast Metropolitan Park and the Onion Creek Greenway.
• The bond referendum, if approved, calls for a property tax increase of $24 per year on a homestead valued at $305,173.
• The bond does not include $94.9 million in budgeted annual appropriations for locally funded county projects that do not require voter approval
• Annual appropriations, which include improvements to bridges and roadway safety, will cause a property tax increase of $12.34 per year on a homestead valued at $305,173
• If the bond is approved, taxpayers will see a total annual property tax increase of $36.34
•  The bond will be funded over five years and taxpayers will see the bond reflected on their fiscal year 2018-19 property tax bills
