3. Snooze brings home the bacon for Harvey relief

Snooze will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from its annual Bacon Day event to the Houston Food Bank. Menu options include the Wake Me Up Before You Oink Oink bacon pancake and a bacon cocktail. Admission is free.

4. Stuff the Bus school supply drive 

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area are hosting a school supply drive at LBJ High School, one of the provisional shelter locations set up in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Donations can be made here. Suggested supplies include backpacks, lunch boxes, calculators, folders and binders, notebooks, crayons, tissues, hand sanitizer and board games. Free.

5. Batten down the hatches for Batch's Harvey fundraiser

Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches will host a fundraiser Saturday to benefit the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund featuring a special Hatch Recovery Kolache with pulled pork shoulder, hatch green chili and cheese and a special Houston-brewed IPA. There will also be music by Cotton Mather, Darin Murphy and others. Admission is free.

6. Alamo Drafthouse joins fundraising efforts

7. Party like P. Diddy 

Garbo's Lobster Truck and Austin Beerworks are co-hosting a Labor Day weekend party inspired by P. Diddy's infamous white parties. Photos with a cardboard Diddy cutout cost $5. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Greater Houston Community Foundation Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Free.

8. Smoke out for a good cause

LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue will donate a portion of the proceeds from their Labor Day Smokeout to the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Staff will collect donations and supplies, including toiletries, socks and clothes (especially in larger sizes). Admission is free.
