Sloan Struble, best known as the artist behind indie pop project Dayglow, has been writing music since his childhood in Aledo.

Struble's first releases came when he was a teenager going by the name Kindred. However, in 2018, right before leaving to attend The University of Texas, he embarked on a new project called Dayglow and released his debut album “Fuzzybrain.” One of the album's singles, titled “Can I Call You Tonight?," achieved mainstream success, eventually becoming certified platinum. Since then, Dayglow has released a sophomore album, embarked on tours around the world and performed at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.

Now, Dayglow is set to release a third record, “People in Motion.” Ahead of the album's Oct. 7 release, Struble sat down with Connor McGovern, host of The Austin Breakdown podcast's special "CI Conversations" episodes, to discuss how he has navigated finding fame and success at a young age and how Austin has shaped and developed his music.
