Cedar Park Regional Medical Center will resume elective surgeries and procedures starting May 1, according to a hospital news release.

Patients who delayed non-emergency procedures to comply with state orders related to coronavirus may now consult with their physicians to schedule a new date, according to the April 28 news release.

On April 17, Abbott issued an executive order allowing medical centers to restart elective surgeries on April 22. Abbott’s executive order is valid from April 22 to May 8. However, CPRMC must continue to reserve 25% of their 108 beds for coronavirus patients, according to the order.

“In addition to our standard environmental safety procedures, we have implemented additional precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, physicians and staff,” CEO Bo Beaudry said in the release. “As we begin to reopen services, we remain vigilant in our fight against COVID-19.”
