Construction on Northline's residential development is expected to begin before the end of 2021, according to a Nov. 3 release from Northline.

Northline's first residential development will include for-sale townhomes, for-rent townhomes and for-rent apartments, according to Northline. When the mixed-use development is complete, there are expected to be 2,150 apartments and 250 townhomes in total at Northline.

Georgetown-based Novak Brothers will build the development's for-sale townhomes. Construction on these townhomes will begin in early 2022 with the first townhomes ready in early 2023. Sales will start in the low $700,000s, and presales will begin in November, according to the release. There will be 69 townhomes built over two years, according to Northline.

“Northline is a game-changer for the region. With all of the amenities that this downtown urban hub will offer, this community is the perfect place to locate our next homes,” said Joy McVean, the managing director of Novak Residential, in the release.

The for-sale, three-story townhomes will be at least 3,000 square feet and feature rooftop terraces, private elevators, en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Houston-based Slate Real Estate Partners will build townhomes and multifamily units for rent, according to the release. Apartments will range from 700 to 1,500 square feet, and townhomes will range from 1,300 to 3,000 square feet. Construction will begin in late 2021, and the first 343 units will be ready in late 2022. Community amenities will include a clubhouse, a fitness center, coworking and gathering areas, a pool, a courtyard and outdoor lounge areas.

“From studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments available, to townhomes outfitted with large floor plans, our goal is to appeal to a wide variety of residents including working professionals, empty-nesters and families of any size who wish to call Northline home," said Jeff Lahr, the managing director at Slate Real Estate Partners, in the release.

Northline, a 116-acre mixed-use development, broke ground in early 2020 and started with infrastructure construction. The development is in Leander’s transit-oriented development area between US 183 and 183A Toll. The project, which uses public and private funds, will include residential, office, retail and hotel space.

The first phase of Northline construction will also include The Hub, a food, beverage and entertainment venue, and other commercial development. More information about Northline in Leander can be found online.
