Endeavor Real Estate Group, the company behind the efforts to reinvigorate a mostly dormant San Marcos shopping center revealed new conceptual renderings and welcomed a new tenant in September. The designs show Gold’s Gym and entertainment complex The Spot, set to be the two newest tenants at Springtown Center. The 42,000-square-foot Gold’s Gym could feature a smoothie bar and swimming pool, according to a permit application the company has filed with the city of San Marcos. The Spot—featuring a movie theater, bowling center, restaurant, bar and live music venue—will take up 34,000 square feet at the shopping center.
On Sept. 26, Spirit, a seasonal Halloween store, opened at the shopping center. The store is located at 200 Springtown Way, Ste. 401. Spirit offers costumes, masks, wigs, party supplies, animatronic technology and lighting equipment for Halloween and other occasions. The store will close by Nov. 7.
MOD Pizza MOD Pizza's menu features customizable pizzas and salads with 30 available toppings.[/caption] Seattle-based MOD Pizza will open a Kyle restaurant in early 2016, a spokesperson for the company said. Charlotte Wayte, marketing manager for the company, said the 3,200-square-foot store at 151 Evans Drive will feature an outdoor dining area. MOD’s pizzas are made to order with organic, freshly pressed dough. Customized pizzas and salads are offered with 30 toppings to select from. Toppings do not add to the price of a pizza.
