1. The Royal Standard, a Louisiana-area retailer that sells European products, opened Sept. 2 at 9955 Barker Cypress Road, Ste. 108, Cypress. 2. Escape Now Houston is planning an expansion at its existing location, 13243 Jones Road, Houston, by the end of January. The expansion will allow for three additional themes across four rooms: a superhero room, a classroom that changes seasonally and two spy rooms. 3. Some Like it Hot Yoga & Fitness opened Aug. 15 at 11405 Barker Cypress Road, Ste. 120, Cypress. The yoga studio offers hot and nonheated yoga in addition to a variety of fitness courses. 4. A grand opening took place in May at Bounce Bounce Trampoline Park, located at 7955 Barker Cypress Road, Ste. 100, Cypress. In addition to trampoline access, the park offers hamster ball rides, rocket ship rides and a zip line. Other activities include a ropes course, dodgeball, basketball and a foam pit. 5. Officials with the local nonprofit Cy-Hope opened a new resale market, The Hope Chest, Sept. 14 at 12015 Houston Drive, Cypress. 6. Southern Divas Boutique opened Aug. 27 at 12784 Grant Road, Cypress. The boutique leased a 1,800-square-foot shop at Lakewood Town Square, its second Greater Houston area location. With brands such as Simply Southern Tees, Southern Divas Boutique specializes in women’s clothing, accessories and shoes in addition to home decor products. 7. Cy-Fair natives Lindsay and Matt Laboski celebrated the grand opening of the cryotherapy center, C4Cryo, on Sept. 2 at 16341 Mueschke Road, Ste. 180, Cypress. 8. Dragon’s Lair Comics and Fantasy opened Dec. 3 at 21151 Hwy. 249, Ste. A, Houston, as a full-service comic book and game store. Owner Christine Prohl said the shop offers a variety of gaming and pop culture items—including games, such as “Warhammer,” “Dungeons and Dragons” and “Pathfinder”—as well as collectible cards ranging from Pokemon to Magic: The Gathering. 10. The Dance Factory opened its second location Oct. 4 at 17810 Mueschke Road, Cypress, inside Cypress Oaks Church. The family-owned dance studio has been in business for 23 years on FM 529.
